Not at all what I expected and nowhere near the picture quality of my old Viewsonic VA2702w.

This was to be the second monitor with the ViewSonic VA2702w that I bought in 2010 and it still looks and works great. The quality of the new monitor is in no way inferior to the old monitor. The display looks like you're looking at it through a thin film of slightly white plastic. Tried unsuccessfully to adjust it, still no comparison with the old monitor that is next to the same picture. I moved it to another computer at work, the dimmer display is not noticeable like a separate monitor. But side by side, the old monitor has brighter colors and sharper images, and the new monitor couldn't be adjusted accordingly. The speakers are absolutely awful, I had no intention of using them but I tried them, they sound tinny from what I can remember. how portable transistor radios of the 1970s sounded.
