I bought this so we can take our cats (well, one at a time!) for a walk in the park or forest. The carrier is roomy and very well built. Our largest cat is about 13 pounds and has plenty of space. The fact that it has an internal cord with a clip for attaching to a cat's harness makes it the best choice for vet visits. Compared to traditional transport boxes, the cat is much easier to get in and out. Also, it takes up less space in the car and can be fixed. The only downside is that it's heavy. Even without a cat, you're definitely carrying a load! It's also quite bouncy, but our cats were fine with that. I would choose this every day instead of the traditional stretcher for travel and vet visits, but keep in mind that taking cats in it on long walks will be a workout.
