K&N Inlet Fits Filter

I've had K&Ns in all my trucks. My new truck has one of these onboard MPG meters so I can keep track of my MPGs. I can say I get pretty much the same as a stock air intake with this unit, but the polished chrome looks nice and if you have to step on it, everyone will know you're on your way. The stock pickup sounded basically the same at 1500 or 4000 rpm. I've driven about 6000,000 on one oil change and am happy with the job. Some people say they increase mileage and some say worse, I personally think it comes down to your driving habits that will determine the results. It's hard not to step on the gas a bit and hear your engine roar, but when you're getting this to save miles it just isn't there. The ton cap was the best increase for me, 2 more mpg. I don't have a dyno to test it, so who knows if you'll actually get more horsepower, but it's hard not to smile when you let it roar. During normal driving you won't even know it's there, especially if you stay below 2000 rpm. I would argue that at 2200 you tell everyone you have an inlet on your truck.

Pros
  • GUARANTEED PERFORMANCE INCREASE: Tested on a dyno with up to 50% more airflow over restrictive factory air filter and intake manifold
Cons
  • I don't remember
