Review on BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 265/75 R16 119Q summer by Wiktor Getka ᠌

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

This rubber is giving me a lot of trouble. It's a significant improvement over the previous two generations, in my opinion. Compared to the yokohama M/T G001, I found that its handling on asphalt was subpar. However, it far surpassed the yokohama in terms of wear resistance, traction in mud, and resistance to side slippage on inclines.

Pros
  • Superb traction in any kind of mud or loose conditions. Even with rear-wheel drive, this trait is evident when making a quick start on gravel; the car doesn't slip, it just keeps going. The yokohama g001's square wheels don't make you feel like you're riding on a barrel at "cork" speeds. The rubber is very soft, and contrary to my expectations for a long trip, it needs to be pumped noticeably more, and not less than some kind of "civilian" rubber; otherwise, the consumption will increase by 15%, almost no rolling will occur, and there may be a sensation of "breaking" the front wheels in a tight turn.
Cons
  • The tire noise was far higher than I had anticipated. When traveling between 60 and 80 km/h, the noise becomes audible. It seems even noisier than the M/T equivalents (though I haven't tried comparing it to the Silverstone MT 117). It seems like a strictly summer variant (unlike g001, which can even accomplish anything in winter), yet it could be superior to its counterparts in other seasons.
