I would give 5 stars, but the suction cannot be adjusted. Some devices like this allow adjustment by unscrewing the shank attached to the rubber sole (usually by twisting the rubber part), reducing the suction associated with the concave shape when applied by closing the handles. When used on TV screens, the suction power can sometimes be too strong and you risk damaging the display. I have found that you can reduce the suction to hold the jar securely without the suction breaking the jar when you start to close the handle to suck about 1/3 of the way before you put it on the apply glass.
