All three of my dualshocks failed at some point and the last one I bought new to replace didn't even last 6 months. If you're buying a replacement, you should try repairing your old one first. . The way Dualshock fails is fairly common and there are many DIY repair videos on the internet. You only need a small screwdriver for small electronic devices. Otherwise just buy a PS3 controller from another manufacturer and save some money. There's no reason to pay full price for the Dualshock now because they just don't last long. The knockoffs are pretty good and last the same or longer than the dualshock.
