Beautiful building blocks that will capture youngsters' imaginations

It's time to find Christmas gifts for our youngest grandson and first great-grandson, so we have a set of these to evaluate as well as an iPlay set of 72 wooden textures ordered . Blocks. In both cases we had two expectations: if we found that they were durable and well-made products, that's exactly what we were looking for as a gift for our special young people. If we would at least find them safe and practical, we have plenty of ankle-biting neighbors and we were sure they'd appreciate a surprise gift from the old folks in the big old house on the block. Our expectations were easily met and exceeded with both products. We absolutely love this blockset. First of all you will get the following: 24 blocks in total, 4 blocks each of 6 different shapes, each shape has 4 different colors. Dimensions: Each block is 1 inch thick. Square - 2 in. (5 cm) x 2 in. (5 cm). Rectangle - 2 in. (5 cm) x 4 in. (10 cm). Diameter 4.75 cm semicircle - diameter 4" (10 cm) x height 2" (5 cm). Right Triangle - 3 3/4" (9.4 cm) high x 2" (5 cm) base x 4 1/4" (10.8 cm) high. ) Hypotenuse Equilateral Triangle - 3 7/8 in (9.4cm) on each side I have a reasonably well stocked woodworking shop in our basement and have made many toys and gifts for our entire family. By the standards of a fairly competent toy maker, I have no hesitation in saying that these bricks are remarkably well constructed. Joints are strong and smooth, often invisible. No gaps or uneven joints. The wood is high quality, warm and smooth. Some reviewers say some of the color panels dangled/rattled in their blocks - we didn't find that at all case. The design is evenly sealed.I couldn't have made a better set even if I tried and it would cost me a lot more materials (not to mention wasted time) to try than we did in these purchase invested to have. We are convinced that the special feel and look of real wooden blocks combined with the beauty of the light shining and reflecting off the colored center panels will delight every child and provide years of fun. We only have two small comments that don't affect our five-star rating in the slightest, but deserve a mention: Boy, is she going to be too feminine. You won't believe! I have absolutely no problem imagining myself 67 years younger, fascinated by a set of these blocks and spending hours building, exploring, rearranging and creating from them. 2. If we could change anything, it would be the choice of colors. Green is a bright, deep green while yellow is a bright, rich yellow. At the same time, blue is a light blue, and red can only be called pink. If I were to do a set I would choose blue and red as bright as yellow and green as that would give examples of primary colors as well. I may have also made a set using pastels like the blue and red suggested here, but I don't think I would combine them like I did with these blocks. However, they're still a delightful, vibrant, and surprisingly well-made set of blocks, and we have no hesitation in giving them our highest recommendation.
