My daughter can only wear closed toe and closed toe shoes to kindergarten and no boots. Tennis shoes or toms style. We love Mary Janes so this is a great compromise. Pros: - Machine washable without insoles - Fits true to size (you can get a printed size chart on the Cienta website) - Easy for kids. Cons: the shiny/metallic colors "bleed" or roll off the toes very easily (no problem with canvas colors) Overall conclusion: great shoe, very comfortable and highly recommended!
