Bought for my wife for Valentine's Day to remember a romantic dinner a long time ago. If you watch a video about how to make coffee for this device, you might be a little intimidated; but experimenting together was a lot of fun, and now we've stopped the process and are constantly improving it. Remember - a "cup" of coffee here weighs 4 ounces, so we regularly make 3 cups, which equals 12 ounces and fits into the mugs we normally use. You could get away with 5 cups divided by two, but we only make two 3 cup pans. It also allows us to experiment and we found ourselves in the size of the pods and even the type of beans in search of our favorite. We followed the recommendation to purchase a mini butane torch instead of the alcohol torch that comes with the kit. Butane units are much more adjustable, although this comes at an additional cost. I recommend buying a BLUEFIRE mini burner instead of a Yama (REKROW) burner. I bought Yama as a recommended kit not knowing that Revain uses different equipment as recommended. The BLUEFIRE is cheaper, has more versatility and higher heat and has never let us down. I hope you enjoy this device as much as we do.
