Magnetic base not strong enough to hold bits

I bought this to use in one of the metal trays I made for my toolbox. My idea was to put a magnetized base on the vertical side of the tray and use a holder to hold the bits horizontally. Everything looked fine until I tried to put the base with the bits into the tray. A few bits fell out - the magnet just isn't strong enough to hold the bits in place. While I'm disappointed with the product, I've learned enough from my experience that I think I could modify the holders I'm using. use to work the way I need it. Update March 21, 2020 It turns out that the difficulties I was having could be due to one (or both) of two conditions: (1) uneven magnetic force in each bit hole; and (2) heavy bits. Another factor I discovered after writing the first review was that some 1/4" shank QC bits contained non-magnetic material on the drive end. It doesn't look like the bits are held in a holder that uses magnetism as the holding mechanism. I tested a few other lures (including the 6" Phillips) and they all stayed in place when I turned the holder upside down to see if the lure was holding. I regret posting my first review before discovering the true source of the bits not being saved. Olsa Tools (especially Mark) gets a lot of credit for responding so quickly to the original post and providing me with a solution. I will definitely deal with them again.
