My computer doesn't have a DVD player so this is a good replacement. Many people say they can't get it to work, we will only use it for watching, but we just searched for a free DVD player app and downloaded it, and after a little tweaking we got it working. When you hit the play button on the show, it's quiet for a while and takes a few seconds to catch up, and it's also a little blurry, but I don't know whose fault it is. Overall it does the job, it might have been worth spending a few bucks more for one that will likely last longer.
