Review on Tokina ATXAF247FXC 24-70mm f/2.8 Pro FX Lens Canon EF - Enhanced SEO by Aaron Lewis

Great lens. Robust construction - like a tank. The colors and contrast are fantastic, the bokeh is very pleasing. The image quality is quite comparable to the much more expensive Canon equivalent, but significantly cheaper. At 50mm the images are indistinguishable from my 50mm at 2.8. Very sharp even in the corners above f/3.0 at 70mm. Focusing isn't as fast as Canon's USM lenses, but certainly not slow. The lack of IS is sometimes criticized, but in my opinion the lack of IS at this distance isn't a problem (especially if you're shooting moving subjects where you wouldn't use it anyway). Once you get used to the focus ring clutch, it's actually very handy.
