They are so cool I bought them after the first ones arrived.
They are bright enough when needed and dim/turn off by themselves via a sensor. Yellow is by far my favorite for light output. This is the most practical option as it lets in enough light to comfortably navigate in the dark. The color change is really cool, but many colors are not vivid, which makes it more decorative. I put yellow in the bathrooms and kitchen and a color changer in the bedroom. The mushroom cap sits on top of the base and is unattached. Keep this in mind when grabbing pets/children or if it is in a high traffic area where it could be run over. It would be easy enough to attach it with a little glue.
