It's a lot bigger than my original hard memory foam pillow, which would be great, but I'm not sure if this is a hard memory foam pillow. So many memory foam products have suffered from shrinkage that the industry has started putting memory foam on a strong foam backing that never stops cracking. The problem is that you don't "dunk" into combo foam products. They don't fit snugly around the body (or neck), which pretty much defeats the purpose of memory foam. Remember the handprint on a memory foam mattress that slowly refills once the hand is removed? That was not the case with this pillow. If you're hoping for that, it's best to look elsewhere. Sleeps much cooler than traditional memory foam. So if height isn't an issue for your neck, this is a great pillow. **Update** Well it's been a few months but this pillow performs a lot more like traditional memory foam while also being cooler to sleep on. It settled down nicely and now I'm sinking into it faster and finding it supportive without experiencing a total breakdown. However, when I roll over at 4am, I move my pillow to place my head/neck in a cool new spot that isn't too flattened from my body heat. Since it behaves much more like traditional memory foam, that's why I'm adding a star. If it came with a large pillowcase and not just a removable cover but a cotton pillowcase it would be a 5 star pillow. Ordinary pillowcases won't fit without denting it quite a bit. I opened 2 of my pillowcases to create one that fits her.
