I ordered this power supply and meter to test LED lights on a small robot/vending machine I am designing for a gum company. I needed a device that could output a fairly accurate voltage and current that I could power from a USB power bank. I was very skeptical about this unit when I ordered it but it arrived VERY quickly with Revain Prime. It was packed very well, in a nice cardboard box and bubble wrap. After hooking it up and testing it with a couple of 12v LED strips I work with I was very glad I bought it. What I like: The output terminals are spring-loaded snap-button terminals, no cumbersome little screwdriver required. or wire clamps! There is also a standard USB output on the same internal circuitry. The selectable output voltage is accurate, I measured it with a multimeter as well as another USB meter that I originally tried to use, but that and a few others are out of my control as well. as ways to improve this. The screen can display IN voltage/current as well as OUT, which can be selected with a dedicated button. The selectable DC current is also accurate, measured using two separate devices. The on/off switch is very useful for manual work and prototype testing. I can get my work done much faster and only have to carry around a SMALL portable power bank instead of my usual desktop computer that I would otherwise have to carry around. What I don't like: The USB output is on by default and if the CV stays too high after previous work it will fry everything you turn on. If you're always running low voltage it's not such a big deal, but I can see myself blowing out a resistor or LED if I'm not careful. Conclusion: A great buy, worth every cent and then some.
