Review on ๐Ÿšฝ Hygienic Round Toilet Seats: Antibacterial Plastic for Extra Safety and Comfort by Paul Lee

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent build quality - mixed Other than the

Status: Installed on day one Notes: One seat, two additional installation methods. Unfortunately I went with the anchor bolt option (rubber coated bolts) which was a frustrating exercise and ultimately did not install in an acceptable manner. I probably spent 15 minutes doing this job to align the seat properly and allow the dowels to hold without popping out. After abandoning this method, I used plastic bolts and the seat was installed and leveled in 1-2 minutes. super easy. After installation, it turned out that the caliper has play. It's not that bad and appears to be on a hinge. Not optimal, but we'll see how it holds up over time. Advantages: - Material. The seat material feels solid overall. Installation. The option with plastic studs was very easy to install - comfort. Overall, it makes a pleasant impression. Disadvantages - cost. For this price I expected a better product. However, so far it is not insufficient and seems to be good enough. While we are not interested in unnecessary returns during this time of COVID, we will keep it. If this product cost less I might give it an extra star, but even with the coupon applied it's barely worth the $40 it was worth. - installation. The dowel installation method seems buggy and frustrating. It might work for some, but I suspect it won't work for many/most. Seems pointless/wasteful to include this method, but YMMV.- Quality issue. The slight wobble appears to be due to the seat being attached to the hinge (a product inherent issue) rather than the attachment (which is the installer's responsibility). We will probably be able to adapt, although this may come as a bit of a surprise to guests. This can also lead to unnecessary stress/wear on the seat. Only time can tell. - Garbage #1. The brand name screams 'universal', but for some reason it became necessary to put on a cheap sticker to 'brand' the product - with an equally pronounceable name. It's easy to remove, so it's trivial. But it's just stupid and wasteful - and still needs work to get it operational. - Trash #2. Others found the included thank you card delightful. Again, I found this to be a waste of time, especially when the text looks like it was copied directly from Google Translate. In the end, it was just another unnecessary, effortless touch. When you buy this product, save yourself 10 seconds and send it straight to recycling. Verdict: You can probably get better quality for this price ($40) or this level of quality for less. Otherwise, this product seems acceptable and has some positive qualities. We need a second cover for our upstairs bathroom. I have ordered from another manufacturer (Mayfair) and will review this product once installed.
