This little thing saved me from having to call a plumber to install a separate drain for my new reverse osmosis system. If you already have a dishwasher hooked up and need another drain line (e.g. for a reverse osmosis faucet), this will help you get it without drilling a garbage chute. In my case I couldn't even do that because it's all copper, which is very useful. In my case this was a bit tricky to set up as I needed another piece of rubber to reduce the size of the port in the sink. For this purpose I bought a "garbage chute" rubber set and achieved my goal with both.
