I have a large long haired dog that is accommodated in our medium sized bedroom. Sometimes the bedroom got musty and dog-like, especially when he was just running outside and it was hot. Since this air purifier was added to the room, this has NOT been an issue AT ALL. In fact, going into the bedroom is now very pleasant and the air is noticeably cleaner than other parts of the house most of the time. I work nights and sleep during the day and I find it helps me sleep. I rarely wake up stuffed or overworked like I used to. Noise is very low at low settings. You can definitely hear that in the highs and mids. Middle. The hum doesn't bother me at all, and white noise helps me sleep, so I usually turn it on while I'm sleeping and turn it off or lower it the rest of the time. not one of the useless minis. This is a full-size system, slightly smaller than the vertical floor fans you can buy at Walmart or elsewhere. It's a very reasonable size and can be tucked away as long as you leave enough room for airflow. Hopefully the filter will hold up, time will tell. Very happy with this find.
