I am also an operator and have an Avaya 9608 admin phone. This headset has saved me a fortune on my chiropractic bills! Because I'm constantly multitasking, I NEEDED to take calls while doing other things and the headset makes it MUCH easier. Pros: - It was easy to install - Very easy to use - No remote control but you just use the "Headset" button on the phone itself to answer calls. Everything is controlled through your phone, so it's very simple - the sound quality isn't bad! I can hear callers very, very well and they can hear me perfectly as long as the mic is close enough to my mouth - I no longer have to try to hold the phone on my shoulder when I'm typing or doing anything else. must be done within one day. Cons: - The headband is too big. I have very short hair and a small head - the headband is ridiculously big! However, I have found that when I wear this thing at an angle and tuck the "dummy" end of the bandage behind my right ear, it stays in place and is not uncomfortable. The cable is not that long. . It's stretching, but I use a standing desk half the time and that kind of limits my "reach." When I'm standing and using the headset, the distance to the phone on my desk is greater and I don't have much freedom of movement in the other direction. I will not dilute the signal by adding an extension to this cable. I suspect it won't work as well if I do, but it limits movement and it's a bit annoying. Other things to note: I'm using this on a 9608 WITH A POLLEY, meaning I have a power amp. on this phone, and that might be one of the reasons why the headset works so well with it. Not sure if it works that well with a standard low power setup, but it absolutely works with the power supply added and the switch on the back panel (IEEE switch) set to high (H setting). . Another thing is that for the price it is amazing. I have already recommended it to the phone manager at our other large store as we all use the same system. Great buy for the price and it really works! Hope this review helps someone else. :)
