Review on 🚰 Watts Premier OFPSYS Whole OneFlow System by Jeff Westra

I have just completed the installation of this unit to replace a Colligan salt unit. I've had issues with threaded inlet/outlet adapters leaking through the threads. I've tried teflon tape 3 times before using the TFE paste which so far has fixed the problem. Other things to consider are installing shut-off valves on both sides of the filter and a bypass system (if you have the space) to bypass the filter and still have water in your home. A valve on the outlet side prevents your piping system from running back into the filter. Some people notice that the cost of the filter is compared to the cost of the salt. Our current salt price is over six dollars a bag. At two bags a month, that's $432 for three years. Depending on the water hardness and water flow, there are of course differences. It would be helpful for some people if Watts could supply 3/4 "inlet/outlet" connections instead of one. Many old houses use 3/4 inch pipe. The new house we lived in in 2007 had 1 inch plumbing.
