This thing is horrible. I love every OXO product I've used (with the exception of their latest rimless can opener design) and have used dozens, but avoid this one like volcano pits. The holes are so big that this splash guard can't. Not only is it "not as effective" as a cheap metal screen; I'd say it's "just a little bit better than not using splatter screen at all". The handle is technically foldable, but when folded or otherwise it takes up so much space that it does not easily fit in our baking cupboard. We can fit about 8 standard fenders of the same width. Difficult to fit in the dishwasher. In my opinion, this is the worst fender out there, and I'm afraid the fact that OXO hasn't offered a great design in years might be a sign that they've lost the pride in their products that makes them one such has made easy choices in the past. Use Farberware (Revain B07D15D74N) or Bellemain (Revain ATVPDKIKX0DER) mud flaps. Both are cheaper and really work.
