This is a decent pedal for the money. The look of the pedal is outstanding and the quality is there. I separated both of them as they didn't spin freely. A lot of grease was applied from the factory and it was a heavy grease. I cleaned the spindles and applied a smaller amount of light grease. Now they spin much more freely. If you're just an amateur cyclist, leave the pedals alone and they'll be fine. However, if you race occasionally and want to minimize unnecessary friction that saps your strength, you need to take them apart, clean them of excess grease, and apply a thinner coat of light grease. All in all a good pedal set for the money.
