I like it for parquet floors. I think the backlight on the base works well when you're vacuuming in the dark. It is very easy to manoeuvre. This is good for getting edges. The suction power is good. I didn't like the way the hair was flying around, which I think is because the motor was powerful and the air was being pushed out from above. However, it is not always easy to vacuum with it. If you put it on a rug or rug, it's really hard to slide. I started getting a blister on my hand from the pen. The vacuum is very heavy and my hand naturally slid up the handle causing a blister. I removed the base to vacuum the ladder and kitty litter. Then when I went to empty the bin, all of the cat litter ran out of the bottom of the hive (not out of the bin). There was a little mess on my floors. I don't know why it happened. Either I assembled the vacuum cleaner incorrectly because there was a filter I didn't use, or you shouldn't empty the dust box when the stick isn't attached to the base. In any case, this problem could have been prevented if there had been instructions in the box, but there weren't any. I assumed the filter was optional. Now I doubt myself. I have mixed feelings about this vacuum cleaner.
