The difference is that it's made from a single piece of titanium instead of two parts: a belt clip and a part that has key rings attached. I have seen numerous reviews of another version mentioning that the connection between the two parts has become loose over time and this will not be a problem with this version. As expected from Titan, it's very light but feels very strong. I have no doubt that the clip and included key ring will stand up to years of daily use. The ring clip springs back slightly and quickly returns to its original position. I don't think anything can accidentally detach from it. The side of the belt clip is very strong and is a bit difficult to slide over thicker belts, but holds even thin elastic belts tight enough to feel secure. I was concerned that my thick leather work belt might be too wide or thick for the clip, but it fits pretty much snugly - maybe a little too tight so there's a bit of a problem putting it on, but it just holds up. It's there, even better when it's on. This leads to a disadvantage, and that is that despite the fairly smooth surfaces, tightening the belt clip part will scratch your leather belts while putting them on and taking them off, especially thick ones. Luckily most rubbing/wear occurs on the back of the belt (luckily not as much if your belt is reversible) but in the foreground of one of my photos you can see how much abrasion the front of the belt has taken from slipping just once . High-quality leather must stand up to wear and tear, but it takes effort to maintain it cosmetically. I started just keeping it on my belt to avoid unnecessary wear on the leather (because of this I had to wear it on my left side, in front of my first belt loop, but it didn't really matter). Maybe some kind of felt lining on the inside of the belt clip could prevent abrasion? All in all a great piece for the price and it's nice not having to carry bulky keys/fobs in your pocket!
