I use this on the X-E1. Its advantages are price and weight. If it costs less and weighs less than the Fuji XF 55-200mm. However, there is no great benefit in bulk. It's very similar in size to the 55-200mm offerings from Nikon and Canon. I have no way of measuring the image quality, but everything I see in the publications suggests that only the more expensive Fuji XF model beats it. There are two possible downsides depending on your needs and preferences: A- no aperture ring - you have to control the aperture with the dial on the back of the camera, B- the maximum aperture is only F/4.5 -- F/3.5 closed would be better, but would probably make it heavier and more cumbersome.
