I bought the silver version because I have the silver X-E2 that came with it. In all honesty, it looks a little cheap, especially the focus adjustment ring. So if you don't have a silver camera, I don't recommend the silver version. Inexperienced users should consider this a five star rating. This is an excellent lens. Images are clear throughout the zoom range. Even in low light and 400% dynamic range (Fuji users know what that means) I couldn't detect any chromatic aberration. I rarely look at the pixels and didn't take any DP Review style test shots.
