I bought a set of 10 Adams CQT-601 scales to share with 450 high school students. After 3 years and countless drops, bumps and takedowns, the balance sheets are still solid. Suitable for middle school age, the bright display and simple controls have helped students find reliable weight measurements countless times. I would suggest reading the book and adjusting the settings to suit your specific needs. It took about half an hour to read and configure all 10 (it's very easy). In short, I have used Ohaus scales for many years and absolutely prefer Adams scales for their ease of use, reliability and affordability.
