The Mueller Cold Brew is truly amazing. When I first used it, I was pleasantly surprised at how mild the coffee is. no hint of bitterness! The coffee maker is very easy to use, however the brewing instructions say 17-20 tablespoons should be poured into the filter/strainer. Seventeen tablespoons is about as much as the filter can hold, and even that amount is too much for the filter. Instructions go on to slowly pour 6-8 cups of cold water "into the carafe." The instructions don't say whether or not to pour water over the ground coffee or just *try* to pour water down the tiny spout. Then screw on the lid and shake. MY LEAK so shake yours over the sink. (The online description says "Airtight - Once you've made your drink, seal the flavors with an airtight and airtight lid and conveniently place the jug in the fridge at any angle, even prone." MY LEAKS, so be sure to check before putting it in. Set the decanter aside only to return to the fridge full of coffee.) The instructions go on to say that once brewed, pour a cup of cold beverage and enjoy. The instructions do not say to remove the screen along with the used soil. In fact, the picture shows the filter still in the decanter. I took out the used floor. What needs improvement: 1. Put a water level mark on the carafe. It is foolish to measure water every time rather than simply pouring water onto a pre-measured line. 2.) Make the lid so you don't have to remove the lid completely to pour coffee. What I LOVE: 1.) There is a rubber element at the top of the handle that really helps you hold the carafe while pouring. Really nice feature! 2.) I am a lover of Sumatran dark coffee. This brewery makes EXTRAORDINARY Sumatran Iced Coffee! Rich and deep taste without bitterness. Make DELICIOUS Sumatran mochas! Haven't tried making fruit/vegetable infused tea or water yet, but I'm sure I'll be just as happy with it as I am with coffee. For the price you should try it yourself. I know you will be as happy with it as I am! Like all Mueller products, this product is well made.
