Over the years I have owned many field test instruments such as the Scopemeter 725, Fluke 773 and many others. As a rule, these are expensive and very reliable brands. In fact, I have a T6-1000 that has served me very well. So I decided to try the Fluke T6-600 with a field sensor. It's made in China just like my T6-1000. Although the quality is excellent, the problem is not in the production but in the execution of the design. Field Sense is not working accurately. Using a probe to measure electrical parameters sounds like a great idea. To use the field sensor you must use the black probe to get ground to take measurements with the probe through the field sensor. Unfortunately, this is not accurate at all. For example, my fan heater uses 120 VAC. Using a field sensor will only show 50-90 VAC depending on how hard you press on the power leads. Perhaps the next generation field sensor will improve the measurement accuracy of the field sensor. Right now I'm sending it back to Revain for a refund. I will wait for the next generation of Field Feeling. For now I'm skipping this version until their designer improves their product.
