These straps are just great. I read most of the reviews before buying and found the #1 complaint is that they don't fit snugly. They work if you know how to work with them. The strap must be properly threaded through the end of the buckle or they won't work at all. If you just thread the strap through the buckle, they won't tighten. They need to be rotated around the B-pillar and back to tighten. See photos below for reference. . The first photo is not threaded correctly, the second and third photos show how to screw them on to work properly. I hope this helps remove negative reviews.
