Used both AP11T and AP101T (with 1/8 turn, shut off/pressure relief assembly) o-rings in the shut off assembly. I also have a lot of shut offs I can get so I finally settled on this version which has a pressure release button (which is used just before unscrewing the canister). The AP11T has served me well for the last 8 years and does a good job of catching all the sludge that comes out of the main feed. Recommendations: Hand-tighten (ONLY) the plastic bowl when replacing the filter; If it doesn't seal, use sealing grease on the large o-ring and the sealing edge of the canister. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE RESERVOIR WITH THE SUPPLIED PLASTIC WRENCH. I've found that most of the time you don't get a good o-ring if you have to use a plastic wrench to tighten the canister. You need a synthetic lubricant (like Super lube 21030) and if you can't do that, for sealing inlet threads I recommend Permatex PX56521 High Performance Thread Sealant which has NEVER failed me on difficult to seal threads. I've tried both types of filters (with and without ribs) and have come to the conclusion: while ribs help in some applications, for this type of filter they make no difference (even with additional surface area), so you might want to choose a cheaper generic filter without ribs. You decide.
