What a great coat rack, it's so simple yet stylish and looks great on my front door both his and hers. Assembly is easy, wooden dowels (no need to hammer them in) and screws are screwed in with the Allen key provided. For wall screws you need a Phillips screwdriver. It sticks out 2-3/4 inches from the wall. I didn't hang anything on it that could slip off, even a smooth down jacket remains. It is made of solid bamboo colored with white satin paint. very durable if you attach it to the wall with the right hardware. I used other drywall anchors instead of the ones provided. I am happy with it and find absolutely nothing wrong with this hanger. I think you will be happy with that too. Hope that was helpful, thanks!
