We just replaced a 10 year old Samsung fridge that had burst a plastic pipe flooding the house. The ruptured line was part of the refrigerator itself, not the water supply line. However, our copper feed line was over 20 years old so I decided to replace it with a new stainless steel line. Before installing, I ran tap water for a few minutes to wash away dirt and bad taste.
