So close but not quite there.

I wanted to use this clock in a child's/toddler's room. You are so close to perfect! But there are a few design flaws that kill the deal. Like a watch: you have a very good, clear display. I wish they were a little darker, but still bright on the darkest settings. Like a clock to wake up to: sun and moon are understandable for babies. The installation of a light signal would probably be more obvious. Unfortunately for those who want to avoid exposing themselves to blue light at night, the moon display is blue. As a sound machine: It has good sound quality for an alarm clock, and the variety is good. Two downsides: there's no usual "white noise" and the cycle can be more deliberate (one of the noises is piano music. It's a wonderful relaxing tune, but the cycle happens in a half note, which is a shame). - Like light. It is excellent! The red light is bright enough for changing a diaper in the middle of the night, and the mostly muted warm white light is also suitable for nighttime use. But - big but - you can't turn off the light without switching between the brighter white lights or all the different colored lights. :( I think you can set it to automatically turn off as an alarm, but that's not too useful if you're using a light as your light source. - Has a toddler lock that's not easy to understand, which is great. Light or shimmer with all sorts of bright colors, which is not good, especially when the baby shares a room with a toddler or other sleeping person.Three suggestions from the manufacturer to make it ideal for a small child can be turned off from any setting without toggling between brighter lights, let the baby lock control the front light buttons as well (or maybe add a separate "light lock" ) and let the lights dim, then you'll probably have a better "sleep workout!"

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Clarity
