Review on πŸ•’ TIME TIMER Home MOD Color Cases - Teaching Aid for Academic Settings, Homeschooling Tool, Student Desk Clock and Productive Office Meetings with Silent Operation (Set of 2), Orange & Blue Set by Jaymai Alford

Good aesthetics and potential but fell short of expectations

I bought this product to use as a tomato timer on my desktop because I was interested in the concept, an analog visual timer instead of a phone app to use. The timer itself looks very nice, and the blue of the sea day contrasts nicely with the black color scheme that occupies my desk. I chose this timer over others on Revain for its minimal font/design and the way you turn the dial counter-clockwise instead of clockwise like most traditional dial timers. However, there are some features of the timer that turned me off. The timer itself is advertised as silent, but it's not entirely silent as I could still hear a very subtle ticking during use. However, my room is fairly quiet, so even a little room noise is probably enough to drown out the audio. The timer design is also cheaper than I would like. The product is fairly light and the dial itself turns very smoothly, but I was looking for a slightly heavier timer. Its lighter quality allowed me to mount it on a Nulaxy phone stand (see images) so I could adjust the viewing angle to my liking. Attention. Unfortunately my alarm sound seems to have stopped working after a few timers. Something may have come loose on delivery - I hear something rattling inside when I grab the timer and move it around. Maybe I was just unlucky, or maybe it's bad packaging. I am returning the item but I would recommend this timer to anyone looking for a small and portable visual timer that is easy on the eye and works without being overly obtrusive.

Pros
  • Thermometer and timer
Cons
  • There are nuances
