Review on HP Stream 14-Inch Laptop by Ilona Orszgh (Papp I ᠌

I'm disappointed with my purchase, products are no good.

It would have been preferable to offer a regular budget device made of solid and sturdy plastic, say, for 35k, rather than an incomprehensible stump for 31k. It's unclear why manufacturers continue to market units that are visibly dead or otherwise flawed.

Pros
  • Affordable and delicious filling
Cons
  • Colors don't come across very well on this IPS screen. On a laptop, white seems overly "warm," or yellow, making it impossible to achieve a proper color balance. It can't be done using the Windows 10 settings or the AMD programs. The screen's brightness is low as well, though that's not an emergency. Moreover, the standard of the case is extremely low. This is perhaps one of the most crucial aspects of a laptop. The laptop's poor plastic construction and lack of included stiffeners make it flex in all directions under pressure or when lifted by a corner. To put it simply, this "feature" is what ultimately led to me getting married. In particular, a wheezing noise. If you're a guy and you've noticed that your speakers start "rattling" as you turn up the volume to around 60%, you can rule out the drivers and focus on the settling case by doing the following: You may stop the rattling by pushing anywhere on the case while the music is playing. I sent my laptop back to the maker because I believe a recall should be issued for the entire production run, much as in the auto industry. I really don't see how the HP quality assurance team let this product pass muster. All these bent keyboards are a huge issue, and many reviewers have complained about the noise it makes (which is MARRIAGE, not a "feature" because of the price). I'll point you a few of the minor drawbacks: memory frequency 3200, while the timings are too high, which is why the memory latency is about 105 ns, the read-write speed is about 35 mbs, and I had trouble installing drivers for anything other than the latest build of Windows 10 (I couldn't install drivers at all until I ated Windows). At my advanced age of twenty-one, I believe it is time to standardize all mobile devices on the type-c charging port. Again, poor ergonomics means that the right side of the device is where you'll find the mouse-unfriendly ports (for USB, HDMI, and charging).
