Works well best in my review

I'm pleased with this compass. I had to adjust it at first. Now it's 95% accurate for east and west and off by about 20 degrees for north and south--good enough for a car compass. I spliced the two wires to a 12-volt jack I had and now I can plug it into the 12-volt port on my car console to turn on the light it has for night use. Overall, it's a nice addition to my car.

Pros

Just love it put it in my old Chryslerand it looks and works great!

Cons

Not very accurate. It’s about 15-20 degrees off.

I bought this for my truck. I suspect it would probably work much better in a boat, away from electronics and metal objects. It reads East really well. The other directions not so much. It''s close enough, and I''ve kinda learned how to decipher what the compass is trying to tell me. So I kept it, didn''t return. For a vehicle though, I wouldn''t recommend.
