Review on ๐Ÿ Snake PowerA Nintendo DS Lite Klassy Klutch by Troy Robinson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Definitely "Classic "

Let me start by saying that this is just BEAUTIFUL. When you buy something online it's difficult to get an idea of what the item will actually look like and this one exceeds all expectations. The color is a very deep ruby red and it shines beautifully. This is a very impressive presentation for a video game system that looks rather childish. It gets me playing my DS so I can show off my fancy new case. This is NOT a game case. I'd give it five stars if that were the case. The star had to be removed for this reason, because I buy cases for protection, and the system is completely unprotected while playing. It may sound silly, but I drop things very easily. The inside is made of brown felt fabric and the cover is thick, which provides a little cushioning in the event of a short fall. It doesn't have room for extra game cartridges, which would be nice. The one I received did NOT have "Nintendo DS" on the lower right front corner like the picture of this item. I am not sure if there is a specific reason for this. I'm personally glad that's not the case. There's a magnetic snap under the lid so it stays closed even without a pin (and I like that it's magnetic because it snaps into place by itself). The pen in the picture has an all black tip while the one I received has opaque white plastic on the tip. I understand that quarter inch of plastic is a minor complaint, but it seems to me that it looks a bit cheaper that way. I would prefer if the entire lace was black. I'm also not a big fan of the stylus being on the outside of the case. It's a little awkward to hold the stylus, open the case, pull out the DS, open the DS, and then reverse everything and put it away. Again, this is relatively minor, but I feel like the stylus is just begging to be lost. Aside from my whiny complaint about the white tip, the pen adds to the appeal of the item. My only other complaint, and it's really a design issue with the Nintendo DS, is that you can't charge your DS while it's in the case. and the case is closed. The case wouldn't look good with a hole for the power supply so it's really not the case's fault, just thought I'd mention it. I also had a problem with the case where I used it before. Overall, this is an absolutely gorgeous case, but it could have been a bit more functional. I have no intention of using any other case, although I could use a silicone case for protection when the DS is not in the case.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
