Beautiful colors. Well balanced. Spicy. Light handles. As long as they last. The description is accurate. It says not to wash them in the dishwasher or use hard washcloths, but to dry them immediately. You really should do this as they don't leave water stains well - easily. I plan to babysit her to make the finish last. If not, I will update this review. There was a small manufacturing defect on one of the large knives (I think a chef's knife), but that doesn't bother me that much. I can write to you and ask the manufacturer/seller to replace it. A chef's knife is typically 1-3/4"/4.25 cm wide at its widest point, as opposed to the thinner 1" to 1-1/2" wide blades sometimes found in knife sets. Knife I love because you can easily remove cheese or potatoes from the serrated knife I haven't used it yet but I hope to like the cheese knife for the same reason.
