Keeps what it promises. Saved me on internal gear more than once. If lightning strikes your rooftop radio, it will burn out. These are not saved. They are not designed for that. They are designed to prevent lightning from going through the Ethernet cable and damaging devices on the other end. My only gripe with Ubiquiti is that they have to provide a lug to connect the ground wire instead of crimping the ring terminal onto the wire, which adds an extra step to my installation process. That's why I deducted a star. Otherwise, it's a great product at a very reasonable price. NOTICE FOR FIRST TIME USERS: You must install a ground wire or screw it to a grounded metal surface or it will not save your gear. With no ground, it's just a fancy Ethernet port.
