New life for old laptops (Apple and PC)

This product met my expectations in two different ways. The first one I ordered was part of the old Apple iBook Clamshell M2453 series, the first generation that came in blueberry. Aside from being a tedious laptop to disassemble, this little guy connected with no issues. The iBook booted from the system CD, Disk Utility found it, initialized it, and began installing the operating system. Since then I have installed many applications on my laptop without any problems. There's a slight (but noticeable) increase in speed, but nothing that compares to a modern SSD, and then the computer is now completely silent. An interesting part of this is that when it was installed, it was installed upside down, which allowed the power and activity lights to be seen through the computer's see-through case. The red operating light outweighs the green activity light, but I think that worked pretty well. The second was included in the old Toshiba Satellite 4005CDS. Accessing this drive was easy and the entire installation took only a minute. For some reason the speed increase is more noticeable on this laptop than on the iBook. I went into FDISK to create a partition and everything worked without any problems. Formatting the 16GB SD card I installed was MUCH faster than the 4GB HDD that was there before. Juice! It's a small detail that was already mentioned, but the only annoying thing is the lack of mounting options. There isn't a hole or anything that could secure this thing in any way. It's light enough not to wobble, but in the end only the pins for the PATA connector hold it up. It should be ok because it's all very easy. Finally, although it doesn't show in the picture, both of the units I ordered came without the pin 20 installed, so you don't have to remove it yourself like the old reviews did. called.
