I have a smaller file (fotwen) very similar to this one that works great on dry feet. This one has a different surface - it has some circles on it, not just a grid of dots - and it actually made my heels rougher. The feed side feels very sharp and clogged so often that I had to clean it several times during use. You also need to be careful not to put it epoxy side down on a non-porous surface like a bathroom vanity as it will stick so hard it looks like the file will break trying to pull it out. But this epoxy side makes the file very grippy and the file gets a star for the larger size, which could be a nice improvement over my Fotwen file.
