Review on ZyXEL WAC6503D-S: Advanced Dual Band 802.11ac Access Point with Smart Antennas for High-Density Environments by Oscar Ferrell

This device works very well in multi-story or single-story scenarios. It dynamically adjusts antenna direction and range to maintain active connections. They are powered directly or can be powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) using a PoE power injector or PoE switch. I have used them in large 3 story homes (>6000 sq ft), one on the top floor and one in the basement. with over 100 devices running on it. No weak signals, good speed of over 700Mbps in most areas with the lowest speed just under 100Mbps in the backyard. We highly recommend these access points, and to take them to the next level, enable the ZyXel USG Firewall, which can manage them from a single console.
