Review on Coway Bidetmega 400E Elongated White Electronic Bidet Seat by Cameron Rosa

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Thin plastic seat may not fit the average American

The bidet itself is excellent and the features themselves work well and compare to much more expensive models. I would give five stars for that. The problem is in the seat itself. First, it definitely fits most toilets in the US well - mine met the sizing requirements, but the hole extends almost beyond the rim of the toilet. It works, but you have to adjust how you sit on it. Secondly, when I opened the packaging I was concerned about the shelf life and with good reason. As far as I can tell, the seat is all plastic and not particularly thick. Maybe in Korea a taller than average person can sit on it with no problem, but I think any taller than average person (not even obese) will damage the seat fairly quickly even with careful use. This device is terribly expensive if it only lasts a year or two, as it did for me. The product itself does not list weight limits, but I would have no hesitation in using it if you weigh at least 170 pounds. not without much care. In the following I assume that you could treat it like any other toilet seat. It works very well and comparable Toto models are significantly more expensive. I have no idea they are better built. I would hesitate to spend that much on a seat again unless it was built to commercial standards. I think it works much better in Korea where average height seems to be much lower.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
