Review on Renogy Solar Battery Maintainer Trickle by Mike Morris

I only have one complaint about this panel, the 12 volt plug is too long to fit into my '92 Chevy C2500- to match the ashtray socket. However, due to the excellent performance of the panel, I still think it deserves 5 stars. I just order a smaller replacement plug from Revain and plug it into an extension cord. I'll post the link as soon as I have it. The cold nights were draining my truck's 12-volt battery, so I needed something to keep it charged until I could afford to replace it. I leave it on the windshield connected directly to the battery when parked. I haven't had a weak start since using the panel. We had severe frosts at night, I forgot to turn it on and the battery dies trying to start it in the morning. It takes a big battery with good juice to make this 454 cold. 10 minutes in contact, in the partial shade, the battery cranked it up, no problems. I've left this panel on the outside of the windshield through a rainstorm, snowstorm and frost and they didn't seem to damage it. The rear end is a little wet, but it didn't affect performance. The 10 watt panel is a solid panel that does its job well even with an old battery.
