The tool can be used to visualize defects (such as pits) in materials, measure their size & depth down into nanometer precision! It does need some time getting comfortable with but once you get the hang of it there's not much else one will want from anything - all aspects are top class including ease when sharing image results between colleagues via email/IM etc.

Also very good documentation which helps understand how your data was acquired before analysing further if required by other users using this product too later!! I have been working within my laboratory over many years now measuring various mechanical properties / structures such as hardness across different areas e.g.; bulk material vs surface area so that we know where improvements are needed i.e., wear spots versus hardening during use. Being able compare measurements taken here against those obtained elsewhere has made our work more professional/honest overall because others outside lab haven't seen these details previously nor known what parameters were really being measured! I like how easy it was to use, especially when you have someone who knows what they're doing help set up your instrument! The process of getting my data into usable form took me several hours (it's not intuitive). It would be nice if there were tutorials that walked through all steps in detail so as new users we could get more out faster than learning by trial & error with no guidance from anyone else but our own experience/knowledge level..
