anything can happen. Even for a cautious guy like me. I dropped my almost new iPhone XR while getting it out of my backpack while getting out of the car. (Insert profanity here.) He landed on the edge, bounced a few times, and (of course) landed face down on the sidewalk. (More obscene words.) And dammit, I was in a bad mood when I saw those cracks! I sat up, held my breath and carefully peeled off the protective film. Voila! The Spigen tempered glass screen protector not only saved me from costly screen repairs/replacements, but also saved me from having to explain to my wife why I wasn't careful enough with my expensive toys. I also doubt that a flexible thin film screen protector would pass the test. And since I had 2 packs, a handy spare was waiting for me when I got home (a spare screen protector, not a wife's spare). BTW I also have a Spigen Neo Hybrid case which worked like a charm.
