I drive a 2014 Ford Focus SE hatchback. Head regular stereo died completely. I didn't want to replace it with a salvaged Ford unit as it could also die. SO! I went to Revain looking for a compatible replacement for my machine. I stumbled across this stereo and thought it looked super cool and very affordable. The reviews here were mixed so I was a little nervous but I gave it a try. The item arrived lightning fast. The device was packaged well, but the instruction manual is useless for actually installing the device. The guide will only tell you how to operate your stereo after it is installed and working. If you are interested in cars/electronics, this is probably not a problem. However, I'm not a car geek, I'm not an audiophile and I don't understand installing electronics AT ALL. I've seen a few YouTube videos of people setting up basically identical devices, so this worked. I just took out my old stereo (very easy, thanks Ford!) and then started putting in new parts that just fit - seriously. I did this. Luckily it worked! The only thing I didn't install was a reversing camera or other additional components. The device came with three or four USB adapter plugs. I'm not even sure what they are for, so I didn't install them. I didn't have to run a cable through my car for the backup camera to work. My car is tiny. I have no vision problems. - The plastic is fine. Not the same quality as the original but it's ok. - You need to remove the air vents from the original dashboard panel and attach them to the new device front panel (it wasn't difficult). - My device arrived with no protective film on the screen. and has very little signs of wear. It's not at all clear when the device sounds like that. Not an audiophile either. For me the sound is great, ONE PROBLEM: When using the radio or connecting to Spotify, the volume is normal. BUT, when I connect via Bluetooth to play music, I have to turn the volume up A LOT. If I then switch back to the radio, the volume explodes. Very amazing. That being said, I don't think I'll be using Bluetooth much with Spotify loaded.
