My first job (so far only) for this thing was cutting galvanized pipe. Half of the cuts had an angle greater than 45 degrees. I'm new to working with an angle grinder (but not a power tool) and it was pretty easy to use. I pulled the vise to where the work was going and it was worth it for the stability. I tried the very thin cut-off wheel that came with the tool and a slightly thicker one. Both cut well and don't noticeably wear out after a dozen cuts each. Actually, I would go with a thin disc because it moves less metal and should therefore increase battery life. Speaking of battery life, I drained two batteries on this little project, but they were _old_ 3Ah batteries. The new ones are probably much better. As with other Makita tools, this is a good buy and will last a long time.
