Review on Pykal Whistling Tea Kettle ICool by Danny Lavimodiere

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent design, construction and quality

I've had this kettle for about a week so this is a preliminary review. My first reaction is very positive. This is a household that drinks a lot of tea, so the kettle boils a lot of water (4-5 teapots) several times a day, so it is an important item in our kitchen. The kettle is strong and heavy. It is well designed and well built. I've had issues with other kettles in the past falling apart with lost handles, whistling or spouts, but this kettle seems to be holding up. Features I particularly appreciate: 1) the handle is made of excellent material and feels cool in about half a minute after the kettle is removed from the heat; 2) To open the spout and keep it open you have to press the lever that controls the spring; this means you will NOT accidentally leave the whistle spout in the open position and potentially boil the kettle dry next time you use it; 3) the whistle is loud enough to be heard in my office across the house; 4) the kettle does not drip when pouring. I hope this will be my last kettle purchase for a long time.
